Ahem

As most of you know, my job situation has been wonky lately. Yesterday, though, I was offered a different job within the company. It's something I'll be great at, and something I now realize I prefer doing!

I'll be working at Central full time, starting (after my vacation) on July 11th.
The idea right now is to "use up" the silk flowers that we already have, and provide our smaller stores with product.
In the meantime, I can continue looking for other work without worrying that my savings will evaporate, ya know?

I'd honestly rather stay with this company--it's a hometown company that my parents admired and that I grew up with. I went to school with their kids and walked past their house on my way home. I understand their value system, because the same one was pounded into me...lol

This new situation feels good, you know?

  2. Hi, Lorrie!
Thanks for the good wishes--I think this job will work
out just fine. Imagine going to the wholesale house and working with ANY silk flowers you want...lol...that's what this is like.
I only buy charming little birds...no bird stuff. I guess they're mostly Christmas ornaments, really.
I have a pencil pine in the living room year 'round, and there're a few wooden birds, some ceramic ones, and a spun glass one...and the one I got on Tuesday. I'll post a picture later!

So, now that you'll be working with silk rather than real flowers, will your blog be the Less Ephemeral Florist?

And where on this blog do I register a complaint? I don't think this blog is updated frequently enough and doesn't include enough pictures of the darling Daud or details about her wedding. I don't want to get rough, but if this continues I'll be forced to take my floral blog readership elsewhere.

    Love - Anon.

  4. Dear AnonNewb,
The way I figger it, infrequent posting makes me MORE ephemeral, so things should balance out in the end.

I AM on vacation, however, and since the idea of getting 'rough' strikes fear into my heart, you might get 3-4 posts a day for awhile.
    Life IS good, right?
